There are “heroes” and there are Heroes. “hero” being the main character. And Hero, being the Campbellian Monomyth. The Hero. The one who aspires to moral rightness. Not to be confused with pseudo-religious, psuedo-pious righteousness. Something greater, something bigger that comes not from without, rather from within. A moral compass that points to Greatness and Goodness. The one who would sacrifice themselves, because they would rather it be them, than those they love, their family, their friends, their allies.
